What Is Tangled Animated Text?
Tangled lettering is warm, storybook, and built for kingdom moments — golden lantern fills, lavender 3D depth, floating-light shimmer, and purple sunset backgrounds that read instantly on thumbnails and vertical fan edits. Unlike generic Disney emoji copy-paste tools, this studio renders real TTF fonts from our Tangled folder with timed animation you can export as GIF, WebM, or PNG.

How to Use
- Type a short headline — TANGLED, RAPUNZEL, or your fan-edit title.
- Open Font → Local for Tangled folder fonts, or Google for any web font from the searchable catalog.
- Apply Lantern Glow, Golden Hair Script, or Kingdom Sticker Pack from Presets.
- Set animation scope and export GIF, WebM, PNG, or CSS/HTML.
Tangled Folder vs Google Fonts
- Tangled folder (1 face) — Storybook display TTF files including Tangled.ttf. Best for authentic Tangled-style lettering with whimsical curves. Add more .ttf files anytime — the picker refreshes automatically.
- Google Fonts tab — Free alternatives like Pacifico, Great Vibes, and Cinzel Decorative when you want script or kingdom display looks, multilingual support, or extra weight variants without adding files.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the Tangled Font Generator?
- It is a browser-based motion graphics studio built for Disney Tangled fan edits — Rapunzel quote cards, lantern-glow thumbnails, kingdom title sequences, and Discord GIF stickers. Type your headline, pick any face from our Tangled folder (starting with Tangled.ttf), apply Lantern Glow or Golden Hair Script presets, then export animated GIF, WebM, PNG, or copy CSS for your site.
- Which Tangled fonts are included?
- The Local tab auto-loads every font in public/fonts/Tangled — currently 1 face including Tangled.ttf. The Google tab adds 1,940 searchable Google Fonts (Pacifico, Great Vibes, Cinzel Decorative, and more) loaded on demand. Drop additional .ttf or .otf files into the Tangled folder and run npm run generate:tangled-fonts to refresh the picker — no code changes required.
- How is this different from the Animated Text Generator?
- The Animated Text Generator is a general kinetic typography studio with 450+ bundled fonts and neutral presets for any project. This Tangled studio is tuned for Rapunzel fan-edit intent — purple-and-gold kingdom palettes, lantern shimmer motion, and a dedicated Tangled folder font library. Both share the same export engine (GIF, WebM, PNG, CSS) but target different search intent and preset libraries.
- Can I use Google Fonts instead of Tangled folder fonts?
- Yes. Open the Font tab, switch to Google, search any family, and pick a weight. All studio controls still apply — fill gradients, 3D depth, outline, shadow, animation, canvas size, and export to GIF, WebM, PNG, or CSS. Pacifico and Great Vibes are popular for whimsical Rapunzel-style script titles.
- Can I choose any font from the Tangled folder?
- Yes. Open the Font tab to compare every bundled face side by side. Each card shows a live TANGLED preview and a short description. When you add new fonts to the folder, they appear in the same grid after running the generate script.
- What Tangled animation and style presets are available?
- There are 19 motion presets (none, pulse, shake, glow, zoom, wave, typewriter, shimmer, and more) plus 13 Tangled-themed style presets including Lantern Glow, Golden Hair Script, Kingdom Sunset, Rapunzel Title Card, Floating Lights, Corona Kingdom Purple, and At Last I See the Light. Combine per-letter shimmer with lantern glow for TikTok fan edits.
- Can I download an animated GIF or WebM?
- Yes. Export a looping GIF for Discord stickers and TikTok overlays, or WebM for video editors. Toggle Transparent before export for sticker-style alpha. Duration is capped at 5 seconds for fast browser encoding.
- Can I download the Tangled font file (TTF)?
- Yes. Scroll to the Download section or use the download buttons for each of the 1 bundled face. You get the actual .ttf file for Word, Canva, Photoshop, or offline design apps.
- Is this an official Disney product?
- No. This is an unofficial fan tool. Tangled, Rapunzel, and related names are trademarks of The Walt Disney Company and their respective owners. This tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney. Use exported artwork responsibly and verify font licenses before commercial use.
