What Is Dragon Ball–Style Animated Text?

Dragon Ball Z lettering is bold, angular, and built for power — blazing gold Super Saiyan fills, Kamehameha cyan energy glows, orange gi outlines, and navy 3D depth shadows that echo classic Toei title cards and modern AMV thumbnails. Unlike generic anime Unicode tools, this studio renders real TTF fonts from our Dragonball Z folder with timed motion you can export as GIF for TikTok, WebM for editors, or PNG for YouTube anime thumbnails.

Disclaimer: Unofficial fan tool. Dragon Ball and related names are trademarks of Bird Studio, Shueisha, Toei Animation, and their respective owners. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Dragon Ball franchise.

How to Use

  1. Type a short anime headline — GOKU, Z, KAMEHAMEHA, or your AMV title.
  2. Open the Font tab and pick Saiyan Sans or an oblique variant from the folder.
  3. Apply Super Saiyan Gold, Kamehameha Blue, or Orange Gi from Presets.
  4. Choose motion scope — whole text, per letter, or per word — in Animation.
  5. Export GIF, WebM, PNG, or copy CSS/HTML for your project.

Saiyan Sans vs Left/Right Oblique — When to Use Each

  • Saiyan Sans — The upright classic face. Use for centered logo titles, tournament posters, and YouTube thumbnails where letters need to read straight and bold at a glance.
  • Saiyan Sans Left Oblique — Leans left for speed-line energy and diagonal motion graphics. Best for AMV intros, fight-scene overlays, and text that should feel like it is rushing toward the viewer.
  • Saiyan Sans Right Oblique — Leans right for impact headers and forward-sweeping titles. Pairs well with power-up zoom animations and tournament bracket graphics.

DBZ Preset Guide — When to Use Each Look

  • Super Saiyan Gold — Blazing gold gradient with blue 3D depth. Default for YouTube anime thumbnails and Saiyan transformation titles.
  • Kamehameha Blue — Cyan energy beam glow on dark sky. Best for attack move overlays and stream alerts.
  • Orange Gi — Classic Goku orange with navy outline. Use for friendly hero titles and training arc graphics.
  • Vegeta Royal Blue — Prince of Saiyans navy with gold trim for rival character edits.
  • Power Level Shake — Scouter-red shake loop for over-9000 memes and Discord GIF reactions.
  • Spirit Bomb Glow — Gathering white energy sphere glow for climactic finisher moments.

Adding More Fonts to the Dragonball Z Folder

The Font tab lists every .ttf, .otf, .woff, or .woff2 file inside public/fonts/Dragonball Z. Add new anime display faces to that directory, run npm run generate:dragon-ball-fonts, and they appear in the studio grid with live previews. You are not locked to the three Saiyan Sans variants — the tool scales as your collection grows.

GIF vs PNG vs CSS Export

  • GIF — Looping ki burst stickers for Discord, TikTok overlays, and story posts where motion sells the power-up.
  • WebM — Higher-quality video for AMV editors when you need alpha or smoother motion than GIF palette limits allow.
  • PNG — Single frame for YouTube thumbnails, wiki headers, or when you want a crisp still image.
  • CSS/HTML — Lightweight embed with @keyframes for fan sites and landing pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Dragon Ball Font Generator?
It is a browser-based motion graphics studio built for Dragon Ball Z fan art, AMV edits, and anime thumbnails. Type your headline, pick a real Saiyan Sans face from our Dragonball Z folder, apply ki-themed presets like Super Saiyan Gold or Kamehameha Blue, then export animated GIF, WebM, PNG, or copy CSS for your website.
Which Dragon Ball fonts are included?
The studio loads every font in public/fonts/Dragonball Z — currently 3 faces including Saiyan Sans, Saiyan Sans Left Oblique, and Saiyan Sans Right Oblique. Drop additional .ttf or .otf files into that folder and run npm run generate:dragon-ball-fonts to refresh the picker automatically.
Can I choose any font from the Dragonball Z folder?
Yes. Open the Font tab to compare every bundled face side by side. Each card shows a live GOKU preview and a short description. When you add new fonts to the folder, they appear in the same grid after running the generate script — no code changes required.
Saiyan Sans vs Left/Right Oblique — which should I use?
Use Saiyan Sans for centered logo titles and tournament posters where letters stand upright. Choose Left Oblique for speed-line motion graphics and diagonal energy bursts that lean into the action. Right Oblique suits impact headers and fight-scene titles where text sweeps forward. All three share the same DBZ angular style — the oblique variants add directional momentum.
What Dragon Ball animation and style presets are available?
There are 19 motion presets (none, pulse, shake, glow, zoom, wave, typewriter, and more) plus 12 DBZ-themed style presets including Super Saiyan Gold, Kamehameha Blue, Orange Gi, Vegeta Royal Blue, Ki Burst Pulse, and Spirit Bomb Glow. Combine per-letter wave with ki burst for TikTok anime edits.
How is this different from the Animated Text Generator?
The Animated Text Generator is a general motion studio with 450+ fonts across movies, brands, and gaming. This Dragon Ball studio narrows the font library to the Dragonball Z folder and ships anime-first presets — Super Saiyan gold gradients, Kamehameha blue glow, and power-level shake workflows tuned for AMV thumbnails and Discord anime GIFs.
Can I download an animated GIF or WebM?
Yes. Export a looping GIF for Discord stickers and TikTok overlays, or WebM for video editors. Toggle Transparent before export for sticker-style alpha. Adjust FPS and palette in the Animation tab. Duration is capped at 5 seconds for fast browser encoding.
Can I download the Dragon Ball font file (TTF)?
Yes. Scroll to the Download Dragon Ball Font section below, or use the download buttons for each of the 3 Saiyan Sans faces. You get the actual .ttf file — not a PNG image — so you can install it on Windows or Mac, upload it to Canva or Figma, or use it offline in Word and Photoshop.
How do I install a downloaded Saiyan Sans font?
On Windows, double-click the downloaded .ttf file and click Install. On Mac, double-click the file and choose Install Font in Font Book. In Canva, go to Brand → Upload a font. You can also skip installation and use our browser studio for instant Super Saiyan GIF or PNG images.
Is this an official Dragon Ball product?
No. This is an unofficial fan tool. Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and related names are trademarks of Bird Studio, Shueisha, Toei Animation, and their respective owners. This tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Dragon Ball franchise. Use exported artwork responsibly and verify font licenses before commercial use.
