A very aesthetically pleasing journal. Mine came with brown paper, and fits quite nicely in my hand. The paper is fairly good quality as well, and I do not have much bleed-through when using fountain pens. I feel that the little flap on the left is a little annoying, but overall its a good product.

I got this for myself for a journal and didn’t want to spend a lot of dosh for some fancy doo-dah journal of the hand-made paper variety sporting a faux baby harp seal cover.Nope, this does just fine and it looks as smart as the ones costing 3X as much.Let’s face it, if you are making journal entries, or diary or just have a penchant for scribbling down your thoughts or verses for posterity, do you REALLY think it will matter if you used the grooviest hippy dippy paper and binding for this? Your great great grandkid won’t give a monkey’s what you used to scribble on, they will just be stoked they have your writings.Here you go.

Very nice cover. It is a gift for my granddaughter who’s loves Harry Potter memoriblila. It’s perfect for her to use for drawing. She is becoming such an artist. I like that the paper is held in place like a binder that has multiple hole possibilities. I just need to know where I can get replacement paper. I sort of wish I had purchased a larger one that can hold 8×10 paper making it easier to replace the paper.One thing I would like to know is there are punch outs on the cover, how do we use those, there is no instructions.

Really pretty and eye-catching, but it is very slim.
I have been looking at so many versions of this embossed, travel-themed journal for my young daughter to take on trips as a travel journal. The price on this one was very good and the embossing is fine. Be mindful that the pages inside are quite small and it is not a sketch journal. It will work fine for the purpose for which it was bought. However, if i was wanting to write quite a bit of notes and make sketches it would not be a good choice. In our case i wanted my daughter to have a “travel diary” to take on our vacations where she can glue in little ticket stubs and perhaps some instax pictures and take some daily notes about our activities. Nothing too involved or complex so it will work fine.

Plastic Leather?
It would definitely make a good gift but the covering feels more like plastic than leather. The color is beautiful. Item is well made. Comes with blank inserts. I also recommend buying some lined paper with it. I did and alternated the pages. It works well.

I bought this for a boat log. I could do that with electronic notepads, but I’m old school. This book fits my antique sensibilities of actually keeping a hand-written log. Quick shipping and just as described. The paper even looks and feels closer to old parchment. If you’re like me, you’ll appreciate it.

I love how sturdy and well-made it is which is surprising for an 8 dollar notebook, I love all the details they included like the charms, leather, and even how the inside is like a little binder so you can remove and organize the papers. I swear I was very hesitant with getting this journal. The ratings are very up there but some of the reviews I came across weren’t all that great but most were. Anywho, I was worried about the size and then I was like I want something to tote around with me, so I didn’t want anything huge but not tiny neither. I sucker it up and ordered the red/brown (I believe that is the color) one and I LOVE IT!!! The size is perfect, the color is beautiful, the material is perfect the inside is just fine! I like that it’s like a binder on the inside instead of an actual notebook. Everything was in tact and we’ll put together. I use this as a journal for my dreams and goals. It’s like my positive journal, it keeps me thinking positive even when I’m down. Yes, I have a bunch of motivational photos and words I cut out from magazines all throughout the pages along with my little journal entries. I love this little piece of me. Yes, I glued my swarovski crystals onto the front, love it!!!

I’m loving it…especially for the price.
Pic #1 = I grabbed a mass market paperback and you can see the journal is about a 1/2 inch wider and an inch longer than a paperback. Not too large, so it is easy to carry around.Pic #2 = You can see it’s is same/less in thickness as a paperback. There is more room inside to add some paper, but not much. So even with more paper it won’t be as thick as a standard paperback.Pic #3 = Showing you the size of the paper and inside when I’m about to writePic #4 = The embossed compass design on the front. Makes it feel more of a travel journal and adventurous.Pic #5 = A closer look at the pendants. The anchor is on a very short strap. Not long enough to use as a bookmark and too thick to really put between the pages. The ship wheel has flowers on it…not much of a manly item and it cannot be disconnected without cutting the cord that wraps around the journal to keep it closed. That is exactly what I did and I removed the wheel and put the anchor as the only pendant.I recently bought a fountain pen and when used on regular copy paper the paper sucks the ink like nobody’s business. But when used on the paper included, it writes very well and doesn’t pull the ink. Good quality paper. Not white paper, but medium tan. I’m still early in the journal so I haven’t looked for refills yet.There are credit card slots in one flap that can hold two cards, but a pen holder loop made of leather or even elastic on the inside flap would have been preferred.OVERALL: Great conversation starter and others want to know where I got it. I tried ordering from eBay and saving a couple of bucks (exact product sells between $4-$7 on ebay), but it’s worth paying the extra to order from Amazon and get it sooner.For less than $8, it shipped fast and totally meets my needs.

The product description was accurate, but I encourage purchasers to pull out their ruler and really look at the measurements. This notebook fit in the palm of my hand. Although its pretty, for the price, I honestly thought it was going to be a lot larger.

GREAT PRODUCT!
I bought this for my hubby so he can use it for his “Capitain’s log” on our boat. He loves it! It is made of beautiful, rich, thick leather but it’s small enough to keep in the jockey box. I also have one that my mom gave me for Christmas and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Such good quality and very chic! These will definitely last a lifetime! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Surprised this little book looked as good as it did. I was expecting it to look like something i ordered out of wish lol. As you can see from my pics its roughly the size of a dollar bill. (This is the smallest size that i ordered)Its definitely made out of a sturdy material. The color is beautiful and even the charms look like it was well crafted. It reminds me of those books you get at Barnes and Noble only the price didnt break my bank account.I used my Signa uniball gel pen and there was no bleed through the page. Tried my Crayola supertips and the paper held up very well. Great little book to write notes, doodle or sketch something out of an Indiana Jones movie.

Bought as a gift but kinda want to keep it.
I bought for someone who is a fan of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted games/movies because it seems like something one of the characters from each would have. It’s well made and looks great. You can also get refills for the paper which is a plus,

To be honest I haven’t open the book in detail so I am writing this review on a couple of things.First the shipping was amazing! I honestly thought it was going to come later than it did but was packed niced and arrived promptly. This is my husband “First Captains Log” book I am calling it and and can’t wait for him on Father’s Day to open it up.Second the actual book is so pretty and looks so antique like and a nice heaviness to it! I am absolutely in love with this little journal!! When it first came in I thought it was a little bit small, but as I begin to work with it I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that you are able to take the pages out and put them back in makes it easier to work with. The pages don’t bleed through, or at least with the markers I’ve been working with. Also the little credit card slip feature and the pouch are just a big bonus!!! The credit card slip you are able to use for your little Polaroid pictures they are the perfect size! And the pouch can hold all the little things that you collect over your trip like tickets wrist bands or those small memorable things :). The color of it is super cute giving it a rustic look perfect for adventures!! Overall I highly recommend this little journal!

Good quality for the price!
Nice quality, it’s sturdy and doesn’t look at all cheap for the price. I would give it 5 stars but there are a few holes and slights in the outer covering which baffle us. We cannot figure out what their use is. No instructions came with the product so we are still wondering! Daughter loves the tan paper and that she can remove and add paper.

Bought this for my navy friend, thickness was solid and the pages were long enough for it to be easy to write on.The design was gorgeous and the smell was fresh.Would be careful with sharpies though, could bleed.

I love this notebook. Perfect size (smaller than most of my books) and moves well (not stiff). I use this product to extend on memories or events I have attended since my memory isn’t the greatest. I plan on gluing or taping things to the pages as time goes on, so the pages seem as if they will be able to handle it. I am considering cutting the right side flap that protect the edge of the pages so it lays more flat, but that is a very minor inconvenience that does not take away from the overall product.
